We live and relive our lives
Viewing each moment
Through a new lens
A new perspective, perhaps
In that reborn life,
A falsehood lingers:
Nothing but vain imagination,
A pointless replay
We see what we desire
Hoping for an unlikely occurrence
Scenes that could never unfold
These are moments glimpsed
With the eyes of the mind
Never to be relived
In sinful aims for what wouldn’t be
We un-live, we annul
Disregard the beauties of the present
The gift of what could be
Of what is
A now that can be shaped
Not reflecting what was
But what we would like it to be
An enlightenment from the former:
If the moment never began
It isn’t one that ever existed
Nor words ever spoken of
